Interestingly, there’s a considerable discrepancy between league salaries: Based on the initial 34-man rosters, American League All-Stars average $9.5 million in salary, while National League All-Stars average $6.7 million. The NL has fewer players on long-term free-agent contracts and more in their arbitration and pre-arbitration years.
