Top 5 Preakness TV viewerships

On May 17, NBC will broadcast the 139th Preakness Stakes. From 1993 to 2000, an average of 5.7 million viewers tuned in to ABC to watch the Preakness. Since then, NBC has averaged 9.2 million viewers, a 61 percent increase in viewership. With California Chrome racing to win the second leg of the Triple Crown, NBC can expect a large number of viewers this weekend.
